Mike is a property professional with significant experience in the management of both commercial and residential portfolios. Educated in Edinburgh at George Watson's College then Dundee University obtaining a MA (Hon) degree in Geography and MSc urban conservation,

Mike went on to work for one of the largest  chartered surveyors firms in Scotland in their Property Management Department in Dundee . As Commercial Property manager covering the North of Scotland for many years he dealt with both residential and commercial property investors . This role ensured a wide knowledge of commercial property management at all levels working for a diverse range of clients from individual property investors.LLP, pension funds and property holding companies in widely diverse portfolios from small retail units, shopping centres, complex multi-let office buildings, industrial units and fully serviced office accommodation.

In  2011 Mike decided to set up MDV Commercial Property Management to provide property investors with a flexable  alternative to the large management companies with personal service at a price that they can afford.
